steven expressions, episodes 1-10

SU is never going to be a show that adheres to static, lifeless stock expressions. it’s a CARTOON and we do not apologize.

EDLUNDART: Right on! I admire that approach, even if my own projects have tended toward more strict, pre-drawn/stock expressions. It’s always a challenge as a lone animator to create enough variety to keep the attention of the audience, while still managing to move forward on your project and produce enough seconds per day to ever reach the goal-line… these variations are really well executed as they don’t feel slavish at all, but still they’re not SO crazy that you don’t recognize the character from one moment to the next.
