Goodnight Atlanta
So I’m supposed to be catching up on my reading/studying/homework for class this week, but it’s not happening. I’m zoned out to my music and surfing the web… I had so much time too, oh well it'a been a pretty good 11-day weekend.
I spent quality time with my family, especially my parents. I’m thankful that I have such loving parents. They do spoil me a bit, but I’m glad I turned out alright, knowing right from wrong and having values. The family is all over the place now. We all used to be settled in Kansas; now I’m in Dallas, Daddy’s in Atlanta, Mommy and Anh are still in Wichita. I guess the time and distance apart makes the times we are together so much better now. I didn’t have the smoothest childhood; I remember thinking about running away at times because I hated being at home, I hated my parents arguing, I hated being so suppressed. Fast forward to now, and I feel free. It’s sad to say but I think the distance actually helped my parents’ relationship. Less contact, less conflict. Anyway I’ll save that for another night’s post.
All I did in Atlanta was eat, sleep, visit relatives/family friends, shop, and explore the city (tried). We ate at two Viet and Chinese restaurants. The food was good, but the service sucks. Does anyone agree with me that Viet/Chinese places are really rude?? (**cough couch Bistros..beeches). I gambled at blackjack and won $8. Whoohoo lol. I wanted to visit the World of Coca-Cola again, but there was no time. :( It would’ve been helpful for my Strategic Management case study!!! Oh and the Museum of Design Atlanta (MODA) is relocating so it’s closed until next month. Disappointment (u___u)! We did make it downtown to Atlantic Station, which is basically like Firewheel. Lastly, I watched the SuperBowl at a relative’s house. I missed the first half and most of the commercials/performances because we were backtracking to find my mother’s lost wallet. Boo! Oh, and I don’t think I have ever been so annoyed of little kids. I think it was because I was watching the game and was already spazzing out in frustration and excitement. For some reason, this little boy really liked me and started climbing into my lap. No stranger danger fear for him. He was missing a few upper front teeth so he just had these vampire fangs lol. Super cute. I feel bad now that I didn’t play with him since we left after the game. Take care, little fella. Next time, a play date, I promise :)
Aite it’s 4 am ET now. I should get some sleep, so I can wake up early and make the most of my last day. Checking out Starfish Sushi for lunch. Nomnomnom. Then going back to the real world of school and work at night. Urgh my planner is now filled up with things I need to do and finish. Play hard, work harder. It’s going to be busy busy. Ahhh!
Goodnight Atlanta.
