The Lower East Side is the perfect date location.  Start with lunch at Russ & Daughters Cafe on Orchard Street, then over to the Tenement Museum for a tour of life as an immigrant in the 1800s (and to make you feel better about the size of your apartment).  Oh and if you have to wait or arrive early go get a coffee at El Rey Coffee Bar at 100 Stanton Street.  Boom!
