I am happy with this shot in concept, but there are many ways it can be improved.
I didn’t exactly nail the exposure, so the shot is a bit muddier than I would like.
To avoid a complete silhouette I used a speedlight mounted on top of the camera, it was important that I retain detail in the clothing. A silhouette would be suitable if a murkier, more mysterious shot was the goal.
Finally, there are way too many unnecessary elements in the shot. If I redo it, I will remove all furniture from the room, center the floor rug and remove the outlet in post-production. That should provide a much cleaner, more powerful image.
Oh and maybe throw some boots on those feet.
