BMW - Flash Projection
BMW worked with Serviceplan Munich to get the BMW logo inside the heads of potential motorbike fans with the BMW Flash Projection, an innovative form of subliminal advertising also known as after image affect.
A high powered flash was setup with a BMW logo behind the cinema screen. During the closing frames of the advertisement, it was triggered and the audience was asked to close their eyes, which revealed the logo as an “afterimage” that faded away.
The campaign won Gold for Media Usage and Bronze for Film at the 2010 Epica Awards.
