The fifth of November. etc.

I’ve been really bad at blogging this year. Not too much has happened in my music-world though. Relatively. Tumblr has mainly been a place for me to lurk around comic blogs and fitness blogs, generally hoping that the latter will inspire me to be healthy. As a side note, fitness blogs are called fitblrs, which I think is a really dumb word. Maybe tinycaster is my musicblr?

Anyway, here’s what’s happening:

• I’m working at a music store. Generally speaking, this hasn’t led to ridiculous purchases, or even much temptation. Rickenbackers aside. Gosh I want (another) one.

• Great North is putting out our first music video soon. It’s for Lead Me To The Light. I’m really looking forward to it. Saw a draft cut and it’s pretty sweet. Second video is already being worked on, too.

• Avalanche City is still going, but the whole band hasn’t been together in one building in a number of months. I think a lot of three- or four-piece incarnations of the band have been performing around the world. Rumours of possible summer gigs…

• I keep considering recording an album of my own. I have a conceptual covers album idea. And maybe eight originals I’d like to do. These are separate projects, of course. But other times I wonder if it’s worth the time/effort…
