This blog started as an iPhone project borne during my travels as a professional photojournalist. In the last few years this blog has morphed into a daily journal of my experiences around the world. As a modern day image-maker, social media has somewhat freed me from the constraints of a print-only career. I am able to create imagery, edit, and transmit all the images straight to this blog, creating a modern and efficient workflow for the most inefficient of pursuits - self expression. - Benjamin Lowy

Herald Square Walkscape | June 2014
I’m currently on my way to Cortana, Italy for the On the Move photo festival where I am part of the Goin’ Mobile group show featuring a brand new body of work. The images are conceptual in nature and while I developed the technique and idea on a separate Instagram account, I’ve decided that it’s now time to introduce this new idea.
I call them Walkscapes. In a nutshell I am aiming to compress the over documented world we live in. Most of the images are made from 30-100 merged pictures taken as I walk down a city block. All are made “in-phone” at the moment of capture.
I hope you enjoy them.
I know that creating these images, free of any constraints, has been some of the most freeing and creative moments that I’ve experienced in a long time.
