Burning in the Skies

I'm Jenn! I'm a very nerdy Psychology and Sociology graduate working in the medical field. I play a lot of games and am a Pokemon Trainer and an Eeveelution Gym Leader. In addition to writing, I draw, design, and take photos. I also really enjoy gaming, music (Linkin Park, especially), and makeup. So, in essence, this blog is all of that combined; I hope you enjoy your visit!

There are many different ways to display your affection to someone. Video games like to come up with new ways to woo your virtual characters, some more romantic than others. One method that has always stuck out to me is the one that Natsume created for their Harvest Moon series. To woo your potential mate, you simply give her or him their favorite items as gifts. However, to propose marriage to that person, you must present a blue feather to them. The blue feather is a very important and significant item in the world of Harvest Moon. It is a symbol of eternal love for every person who wishes to marry. You can read the full legend/tale of the blue feather behind this text

I personally think it’s absolutely beautiful. Something so simple, yet so elegant as a feather colored blue can symbolize something so powerful and everlasting. I admire it greatly, and think it is a wonderful way to propose.

Have other awesome displays of affection used in video games? Send them my way! I would love to hear about them!
