Farm to Baby Menu - Friday June 8th

Zucchini: Cousin to cucumber, Italian in name, but native to North America, this classic summer squash contains folate, potassium, vitamin A  and magnesium.

Sweet Cherries:  All those snowy April blossoms give way to round red fruit bound for bowls, pies, hats, and now babies. Rejoice! The season is short, but sweet and we’ll keep them coming as long as we can.

Idareds: A cross between two old time New York apples, Jonathan and Wagener, Idared came out of Idaho in the 1940s. We roast and whip ours to incredible effect.

Sweet Potatoes: A yam by any other name is just as sweet. Domesticated some 5,000 years ago, the sweet potato is in fact botanically distinct from the yam. One of the world’s best loved tubers, it certainly deserves its place in the nutritional hall of fame. Vitamin A abounds and it’s packed with antioxidants.
