The Quidditch Wreath looks better than ever!

I made it in 2006 for a charity auction, but my coworkers knew how much I loved it, so they bid on it, muscled out the competition and gave it to me as a gag gift for my ordination to the priesthood.

Originally it featured a red and gold spray paint job, little red garland, my #Quidditch goggles, a tiny knitted #Gryffindor house scarf, a gorgeous homemade snitch and some paper elements. A glossy picture of a Nimbus 2000 and a beater’s bat were outlined by colored paper and the wreath was centered over an illustration of a first year Harry on a broomstick looking clueless and lucky.

Today I’ve taken off all the paper elements, reattached the goggles front and center and backed it with two crossed cinnamon brooms left over from Christmases long past.

It’s 8 years old this December and still gorgeous. Yes, it is up year round on our apartment door.
