Although I’m probably with Grant Wahl – we should start calling them elimination matches, much like they are in Spanish. Lineups via SB Nation:
HON: Noel Valladares; Arnold Peralta, Victor Bernárdez, Maynor Figueroa, Juan Carlos García; Boniek Garcia, Roger Espinoza, Luis Garrido, Mario Martínez; Jerry Bengtson, Carlo Costly
USA: Tim Howard; Fabian Johnson, Omar Gonzalez, Geoff Cameron, Timothy Chandler; Eddie Johnson, Jermaine Jones, Michael Bradley, Danny Williams; Clint Dempsey, Jozy Altidore
Of note from a USA perspective: Klinsmann benches captain Carlos Bocanegra in favor of Omar Gonzalez and Graham Zusi is also starting on the bench. Howard takes the armband in goal. I’m still personally unsure about Williams, Jones, and Bradley in central midfield together. I don’t know where the creativity to get forward is coming from. Gonzalez and Chandler will be cup-tied to the U.S. at kickoff.
I see a draw but am hoping for a solid victory. What say you? WHO YA GOT?
