Mama Called traces the life of Paul ‘Bear’ Bryant from his childhood in rural Arkansas to his six national championships as the head coach of the Alabama Crimson Tide.  Extensive use was made of the archives of the Bryant Museum to collect game footage and photographs for the documentary. Interviews with Gene Stallings, Bobby Bowden, Paul Bryant, Jr., Ken Stabler, Sylvester Croom and many more give insight into his life on and off the football field. Mama Called  celebrates the centennial of  Bryant’s birth.. Produced by the University of Alabama Center for Public Television and Radio in association with the Paul W. Bryant Museum.
