St. James Rhum Agricole is produced to 100% out of pure sugar cane juice. This awards to him his unique flavour and his particularly fruity taste. The single, geographical position of St. James sugar cane plantation is almost perfect in combination with the humid tropical climate of the Caribbean for the thriving of the sugar cane plants. The sugar cane matures to a plant of extraordinary quality on fertile, volcanic earth on the island of Martinique with an optimal angle to the sun.

The French government managed the expression “Rhum Agricole” for this special and unique rum to underline the naturalness and the particularly gentle production (unlike industrial rum) with that. The production is carried out under strictly controlled conditions, the Appellation d´Origine Contrôlée, a state protection seal for highest quality standards.

Saint James 12 Year Old rum is a prestigious rum created by Saint James from its private stock to complete its wide range, patiently matured in special oak casks, which gives it high aromatic richness and heightens its quality.

Time slowly cultivates the rum’s flavor by concentrating the deep aromas with smooth and refined elegance. With its beautiful coppery brown tints, it exhales woody notes combined with more subtle scents and reveals powerful flavors of prune, dried fruit and spices (nutmeg) along with a delicate roasted coffee hint.

Deep, clear and pure Copper brown color. The nose is aromatic with an initial predominant woody notes, amplified by more subtle flavors. Distinctive notes of stoned fruit (prune). Aromas of dried fruit and nutmeg. Delicate roasted touch. On the palate, good roundness, enriched in tannins from its long ageing in oak barrels. Predominantly woody with undertones of spices mixed with macerated stoned fruit. The finish is very pleasant, full-bodied with an good length on the palate.
