Lee Hyori to FINKL is pretty much what Justin Timberlake is to NSYNC or Beyonce to Destiny’s Child. She’s so far transcended past being a group member and has become a solo tour de force in her own right.

Hyori has sex appeal, fun(ish) songs, and undeniable stage presence but if there’s one thing her music lacks, it is some hearty soul. Thankfully that’s where this cover comes in. It may not have the same light, bouncy appeal of the original, but this rendition by 언니왔다 is a more meaty interpretation. It’s not necessarily better, just a different take with a little more grit.
