LouisCK.net | Horace and Pete

I must take a moment during the intermission of Horace and Pete episode 2 to say: I recommend you give this show a view or two.

I have always enjoyed Louis C.K.’s offbeat, thoughtful comedic/dramedic sensibilities, so I may be biased. But, if even to witness the bold moves – material that feels like a play yet moves in real-time pulse with the events of the week, a cast that behaves so truly in character (and it’s not a question of whether there’s improv, but how much), its production (episodes are produced weekly on a multi-cam stage), its distribution (via Louis’s own website), its marketing (consisting of two emails to Louis’s e-mail list)…

If even to witness what truly ballsy moves can look like, what high-profile creativity can become without the looming presence of high-stakes, ad-based fear – you should watch this show.
