Things I loved about today:
1. Teaching the kids the art of dipping their fries into their shakes.
2. This gorgeous weather. They randomly would poke their heads over the windowsill to see if dinner was ready yet. Only because they knew that meant they would have to come inside soon.
FYI - All the while I am sending Matt pictures of shakes and short ribs, apparently not enough to play hooky from work!
It’s been a long time since I have posted more than just pictures, so here is my attempt of actually having more text than pictures in a post.
Date night with Matt at The Salted Pig happened last night. Matt has been working a lot of extra hours, so it is always nice when we actually even eat together. Noah and Maddie had a sleepover with their aunties (yes I shed a few tears), but it was good for all of us. They had a great time, and Noah showcased his ninja sleep moves on my sisters. I literally slept uninterrupted, and it was a beautiful thing.
Matt was on call today, so he couldn’t come with us on our little adventure to the Bubble Playground. It was a really cool concept, I think TJ probably was the most amazed. Maddie literally walked out of there with a head full of soapy bubbles!
Then it was off to EJ’s 2nd birthday/Ezra’s baby dedication. A dessert bar full of donuts and cupcakes, and we were all in a sugar coma on the way home.
So aside this being my Saturday recap, it is also my shout to the best sisters ever. I am reminded how blessed I am to have sisters that make everyday adventures that much better.
Two date nights in less than a week, best anniversary present we could ask for. Still crazy it has been 19 years together, with 14 of them married. ❤️
