Featured Speaker: Lorne Sossin

Chosen by Canadian Lawyer as one of the 25 Most Influential Lawyers in Canada, and selected by Women of Influence as one of the 2012 Diversity Champions, Lorne Sossin is a Professor and Dean of Osgoode Hall Law School at York University.

His teaching interests span administrative and constitutional law, the regulation of professions, civil litigation, public policy, and the judicial process; he also holds doctorates from the University of Toronto in Political Science, and Colombia University in Law.

The author of numerous books, Dean Sossin has also served in a variety of leadership positions including Research Director for the Law Society of Upper Canada, board member of the National Judicial Institute, the Canadian Institute for the Administration of Justice, the Law Commission of Ontario, as well as the Ontario Health Professions Appeal and Review Board and Health Services Appeal and Review Board.
