“I went to the bathroom and it smelled like straight dank!”
Last Friday, I went to the Guggenheim to see Julianna Barwick and Grouper play the museum’s “Divine Ricochet” music series. On display in the Guggenheim’s winding gallery there were these pretty large, savage-looking sculptures made of crunched up car metal made by John Chamberlain.
I liked the mix of people: it was a funny combination of people who were decidedly not used to going to concerts on the upper east side and people who were decidedly not used to going to concerts to see acts like Grouper and Barwick. Nice to see the kids getting together with the not-so-kiddish.
