New sewing pattern “Pepernoot” hooded coat
Meet my new pattern “Pepernoot”. (Japanese post here 日本語はこちら)
This is very functional coat designed for cold winter but not only durable and functional also have some lovely details!
The front zipper open and zipper pockets help you easy managing when you wear gloves and the high neck type hood keeps you warm. The round shaped yokes and pockets are lovely touch.
This is included a normal type lining pattern. If you need extra warms, quilted lining will be one of the option like my sample. You need to make it smaller than shell, depend on your fabrics.
Actually I made this coat first as my personal project for winter in The Netherlands. It is so cold and snowy, but people are still riding bicycles and I also do. So it was designed as a heavy duty with twisted details. And luckily many people asked me for sale this, so I decided to release.
Hope you enjoy this winter with your pepernoot coat!
By the way “Pepernoot / Pepernoten” means spiced cookies in Dutch. It is traditionally eaten in winter (Sinterclaas holiday) in the Netherlands.
