Christa Collins is the fashionable brunette head-turner who has captured America's curiosity as an X-Factor USA Top 32 finalist.
A standout in the Over 30 Category, Christa's heartbreaking life story reveals a vulnerability and deep motivation few of her X-Factor peers possess.
Born in Iowa, Christa's vocal gifts - and an innate un-definable charisma - landed her the role of Cosette in the first national tour of Les Miserables, and the closing vocals in Michael Jackson's "Heal the World." Her career was on a trajectory for stardom when tragedy struck. While on a promo tour in Australia, her mother, Denice, was struck and killed by a hit and run driver. In that moment, Christa's world turned upside down. It would be years and many transformations before Christa returned to the stage again. In 2005, she made her stage return as backup singer for the legendary band, The Seeds. In 2007 Collins was recruited to be front woman for rock band The Wooly Bandits. She is thankful for the opportunity that the X-FACTORUSA is giving her to share her voice with America.
