Fashion’s Night Out Chicago
Thursday I attended Fashion’s Night Out at the 900 Shops on Michigan Avenue in Chicago and it was a blast! In addition to viewing the fashion show, attendees had the option of visiting the Beauty Bazaar who offered manicures and massages from Mario Tricoci and Bloomingdale’s, tasting small bites from Gastronomy by Groupon (fish tacos from Mercadito - ridic good!), posing for fun photos at Glossed & Found’s Photo Booth, and taking advantage of sales and complimentary champagne at various stores. Celebrity guest, Ali Larter hosted the event who was stunning, by the way.
The fashion show featured designs from Karen Miller, L.K. Bennett, DNA2050, Bloomingdale’s, UGG Australia, and DEKA Chicago. The show took a somber tone by using a slow and dramatic music which, my friend and Open & Clothes photographer, Michelle, informed me was the theme from HBO’s Game of Thrones. Almost every look utilized a palette of burgundy, black, or ivory. Waxed jeans, skinny leather pants, tailored jackets, and chunky ankle boots were a main focus of the show.
