Here is the third installment of my Fall Punch List 2012. Welcome to the shoe edition!

There were so many options it became difficult to narrow them down. I decided to focus on a few select categories. 1.) Cap-toe shoes, 2.) Booties, 3.) Ankle-strap and D'orsay pumps 4.) Ornately detailed or patterned flats.

Across the top I’ve added a pointed-toe, tall boot from Loeffler Randall. If you invest in one new pair of boots this fall, make it these. The Margeaux boot is versatile due to it’s neutral palette and very reminiscent of a similar boot by Chanel, but at more than half the cost. Next I included a glittery cap-toe flat with gold heel detail by B Brian Atwood (his more affordable line). This flat is darling, but still sophisticated and can be worn with tights and a sheath dress or skinny jeans and a leather jacket. The next pair of cap-toes are a architectural bootie from See by Chloe (also, their more affordable series). The toe on these remind me of a bird’s beak, but they’re just edgy and cool. Lastly, I’ve included a pair of leather, color-blocked heels I have been pining over for awhile now from J.Crew. These would be great for work or going out.

Booties scream fall to me. Particularly ones in rich, warm tones. The lace up wedge booties are by March by Marc Jacobs. I would style them with a gray, heathered, wooly sock peeking out of the top, over a skinny jean, or on their own with a messily rolled jean (a boyfriend jean, if you dare). I also included this ankle boot by Rag & Bone. R&B has reintroduced this style for a few years now, but I just love the slightly almond shaped toe with a chunky heel and the color, it’s called Chili. Now that’s great marketing!

I’ve instagrammed the red and black Vamp Shoe by Zara all the way left on more than a few occasions. I love these shoes! They originally caught my eye because of the asymmetrical line of the D'orsay cut. I’ve worn them with my leather shorts and skirt and plan to wear them with dresses and leather pants when it gets chilly. The middle pair, are Rebecca Minkoff’s in mauve and also have an asymmetrical “hem,” if you will. The color on these are unexpected and would look awesome with so many different types of outfits. Lastly, you see another pair of ankle strapped heels from Zara in a plum color. Gorgeous, not a crazy high heel, and there’s just something sexy about an ankle strap - enough said.

Finally, I included a few pairs of interesting flats. The bottom pair are the Speckled Metallic Lip Flats from Belle by Sigerson Morrison. Again, the “hemline” on these shoes combined with the fabric make them visually interesting and you can’t go wrong with a pair of stylish flats for times when you have to get around. The top pair are a silk, smoking slipper by Joie in red. These shoes add an autumn pop of color to jeans or neutral tones ensembles and are completely unique.

Which pair wins your vote?
