Now available as a stunning Limited Edition MetalPrint!

Colorful double rainbows at the base of Bridalveil Fall in Yosemite National Park. The 620’ tall waterfall was originally named “Pohono” by Native Americans, which translates to “the spirit of the puffing wind.” Notice that the colors of the outer rainbow are in reverse order of the main rainbow. The mist at this location is overwhelming in the Spring, requiring rain gear and camera waterproofing. Even then, it requires a paparazzi-like approach to snap photos quickly while turning toward the spray and then away in an attempt to try to keep the lens as dry as possible. The colorful rainbows have been isolated against a monochromatic background in the digital darkroom in order to achieve my desired visual effect.
