The Hike to the Location-

A week or so ago we lead some great people out onto location via our Meetup Group. Joshua was leading a PhotoHike-Learn to Shoot Moving Water meetup-event, but the fog was heavy and so I lagged behind to get what I knew would be far more interesting to me than some blurry waterfall ;)

(for the record- I love ghostly waters!)

I find the time in between seasons is surreptitiously interesting as far as light and landscape- half dead, half alive; we see this contrast in spring when flowers pop up out of the snow and in the late summer when all the greens start to give way to the autumnal colours. These transition points are fairly difficult to peg and becomes one of those “right place, right time” kind of golden eggs for me. I suppose it’s nature’s version of Androgyny, for lack of a better word; it’s some kind of middle ground- being one of neither but both of each. I like that space.

Up next- my versions of ghost waters.
