I’d like to make a bold declaration: tea parties are no longer just for 6 year old girls in tutus and baby showers anymore. In fact, I think the nerdy broads of the world ought to embrace them more fully. They’re the perfect weekend activity. Just a leisurely way to spend an afternoon without any concerns for a hangover the next day. Add a Doctor Who theme and I’m in.
More pictures and details on some free downloadable printables after the jump.
Here’s another bold declaration for you: Table tents don’t just have to be used at weddings to indicate which awkward, hearing impaired uncle of the groom you’re going to have to sit next to. How about something a little more engaging. How about encouragement to eat your potassium filled fruits? You can get those awesome table tents right here.
I also took this project up as an opportunity to reinvent the napkin ring. Why not? I mean, look how much more fun these DW themed paper printables are then something expensive from Pier 1 Imports or the like. You can download these Being Geek Chic napkin rings right here.
We’re enjoying 30 days of Doctor Who during the month of March on Being Geek Chic! Since the show is celebrating it’s 50th Anniversary and Series 7 is rebooting at the end of the month, it seemed like the perfect time to reflect on why we love the Doctor, wish we could apply for the job of Companion and create our own Sonic Screwdrivers. So while we can’t board the TARDIS, we can spend a ridiculous amount of time replicating Amelia Pond’s signature look. Tell your friends and stick around for more. Allonsy!
!! :-)
This looks like so much fun!
