...in which Sara succumbs to another outlet for her misc. amusements.
“Well, no. I’m glad that people think that, but it’s not fun at all. It’s hard work, long hours, and sometimes it’s physically painful. In TRON I was in a corset and heels, it was the most uncomfortable I’ve ever been, and in Underworld and Twilight I had these horrific contact lenses in all the time – you can’t see anything, and it drives you mad! I’m not trying to say that acting is as difficult as male prostitution or mining or something, but I always think it’s quite odd when people say that it looks like fun. Sometimes the way people talk about things I’ve done, or even acting in general, makes me think that a lot of people find it easy to be critical, even suspicious, because they think that it doesn’t really matter that much, and that it’s just some sort of a hobby. When I wasn’t doing as much as I am now, people would sometimes say, “So is this your job all the time? Do you do something else?” as if I had a proper job in the day, and then I’d pop into a theatre at night and do something there. It’s funny the way people see it.”
