MAMMA MIA! PASTA MAKING AT CEDAR FALLS!

One of our lovely guests, Alice S and partner Dan stayed at Cedar Falls recently and wrote to us about their pasta making triumph. Bellissima!

We loved the pasta making class on our stay at Cedar Falls recently as neither of us had made fresh pasta before. The class took place in owner Tori’s country kitchen where she talked us through how to make the dough and how to roll it out whilst we enjoyed some of the beer from Kingstone Brewery, the local microbrewery which her husband Ed runs.

When our dough was ready we had great fun being shown how to make all sorts of shapes - as you can see from the photos, Dan especially enjoyed using the mandolin!

Tori cooked up some of the pasta she had made with a simple garlic butter sauce and asparagus as an example of a simple recipe we could prepare, before she made sure we had all the ingredients necessary to cook up our own storm back in the cabin.

She even dried the remaining pasta overnight and then boxed it up for us to take home! All in all, a fantastically fun and tasty evening was had by all!
