Coast, Rivers, and Mountains - Exploring Oregon

Since I moved here about a month ago, I decided to gather some of my daytrip photographs into one place. I think the prevailing tone of being a tourist is to be amused and diverted, but I find that difficult in Oregon because the things I see are much larger scale than I’m expecting, much more impacting in their beauty, and much less definable in terms of the experience they leave with me.

Here are some images from visiting the coast (Cannon Beach) during severe weather, the Columbia River Valley, the bridges of Portland, the Christmas Tree lighting ceremony in Portland, and Mt. Hood, all in very fine weather which was quite a treat.
