this used to be my neighbourhood in jakarta, circa 2008-2009, on the first sunday of the month which is car-free day. was there over the weekend, it hasn’t changed much. just a lot more buzz in this grand old city that has just celebrated its 487th birthday.

must make it for the 500th year.
