After four days of kiting, save scumming and cherry tapping, Inference finally went down in a blaze of glorious Valcazard-pounding and I can bid the Ardygun family farewell for a while. I’m told the New Game Plus is worth it, but I think I’ll come back when I’ve learned at least some kanji.
I have to say, aside from a few questionable balancing decisions towards the end, this has been a very pleasant experience for someone whose grasp of Japanese needs a kana table and a dictionary just to navigate the interface.
In other news, SRW K greeted me with the revelation that it, too, contains the Warcraft-ripoff track. How people noticed the Chrono Trigger track but not this is beyond my comprehension. Recording of the new arrangement forthcoming (I kinda liked W’s version better, but a lot of K’s arrangements are questionable like that).
