On January 6, 2014, Martin J. Walsh became the 54th Mayor of Boston. During his first 101 days in office, Mayor Walsh has worked tirelessly toward making Boston a city where everyone has the opportunity to succeed. Five key priorities to date build upon Boston’s strengths, while carrying the City into the future:
- Strengthening the economy & creating good jobs
- Improving public safety & combating gun violence
- Ensuring Boston Public Schools enable the success of all children
- Increasing accessibility & transparency in City government
- Serving all Boston’s neighborhoods and residents
Here on the Next blog, Mayor Menino detailed what came before; now in this space, dive in with “Walsh 101,” where we explore the first 101 days: what has been accomplished, and what lies ahead. Read the full report here.
Mayor Walsh and his team want to hear from you; your comments and questions are welcome: it’s our Boston, together.
