Anonymous asked: 1] He bullied her FOR YEARS. This wasn't a few remarks. YEARS of abuse. 2] He never apologised then. He clearly didn't think he had anything to apologise for. 3] He apologises NOW just months before his Marvel debut, YEARS AFTER the abuse. That makes the apology clearly very false. He apologises now because he knows how the fans will react to a man who systematically abused a woman. He's trying to cover his back. I, for one, am disgusted that you think a transparent apology means it's okay.

You are in no way obligated to purchase or read the comics of anybody you do not like.

The anon is not qualified to declare the apology as clearly false. A late apology is not an inherently false one. The situation is not as cut and dried as the anon seems to think it is.

But hey, why let reality intrude on one’s self righteous condemnation?

You really want to stop bullying, folks? Stop em when they are actively being bullies. Complaining years after they stop and change will not fix anything, folks. Do not stand for bullying NOW. Does not do victims any good to wait until years later.
