My favorite scene in the entire film. Remember the heated moment when he lets it slip that he can’t die because he tried to commit suicide and it didn’t work? All those feelings coming rushing back when he turns around to Captain America with that somber look of an emotionally defeated man who simultaneously has risen above his condition, and he gives you that smile as he says, “That’s my secret Cap… I’m always angry.” That ultimate embodiment of a negative transformed into a positive is beautiful on so many levels.
