The End of Parachute Musical
Dear Friends,
We’ve made the decision to end Parachute Musical. The past 7+ years have been some of the greatest moments of our lives, but at the same time, we all feel that this chapter has come to a close. We’re ready to try new things, go new places, see where life takes us.
We just want to thank all of you for your love, support and generosity throughout the band’s existence. PM would not have made its small yet significant mark on this planet had it not been for you. It certainly made a huge mark on our lives and we’ll never forget it, or you.
To those who participated in our Kickstarter project, we owe you special thanks. You gave us the means to make our dream album, which is stamped in time. Listen to it with pride as it’s yours as it is ours.
We also want to specifically thank our manager, Nick Hardy, who has pretty much been our 5th member since we relocated to Nashville in 2007. He worked as hard as all of us and is a behind the scenes hero.
There are no bad feelings surrounding this. In fact, you could find us bro-noodling at El Ranchero the other night over beers and chips & salsa (along with Kyle Cornett no less). We’re brothers and will continue to be.
Merch is marked down. Have at it. (Is this depressing?)
All of our records will continue to be available for streaming at parachutemusical.com.
We will play our final show Friday, March 30th at The 5 Spot in Nashville with The Winter Sounds & Baby Baby. It will be streamed live for anyone who would like to tune in. Details to come.
One more time.. thank you guys so much. We love you.
Hopeful for the future. Thankful for the past. No regrets.
Josh Foster, Tom Gilbert, Andrew Samples & Ben Jacoby
