I don’t know when I develop this incredible hate for Rogue’s powers but right now every time she does something like this I feel my whole body trying to crawl into itself and hide.

Let’s be honest here, I think people in general can agree that what Rogue does approaches very closely the area of sexual assault. I mean she is willfully invading personal space, taking away something very intimate from people against their will, and (depending on the interpretation of her powers) leaves them behind helpless and vulnerable.

Rogue’s powers aren’t soemthing that should be used freely and in just the same way as Cyclops’ or Nightcrawler’s. Writer’s should treat her the same way as telepaths, with powers that are a potentially abusive minefield, validating lots of restrictions.

It doesn’t make her strong and independent to take away from others regularly. It makes her a creep.

Lol, but Wanda literally altered people’s bodies and took a part of them against their will. Decimation was full scale mass rape.

The point wasn’t what Rogue is doing to Wanda specifically, though, but rather the non-chalant way her powers are being used in stories, despite their highly invasive nature.

As for Wanda herself, unlike Rogue she can put a nervous breakdown forward as alleviating circumstances. For Rogue, on the other hand, getting in control of her powers and progressing as a character actually made the use of her pwoers MORE deliberate. Several writers over the years have seen it as a sign of character-progression to have her more willingly engage in an act of domination with ever greater control. And that’s the problem.

LOL. Wanda ’ powers are far more dangerous and unstable. She should be far more under scrutiny than Rogue. Especially because Rogue had control in that scene. Wanda is never really sure the chaotic nature of her powers will work.

Don't force your personal hang-ups over a character into a discussion that never was about this character to begin with. You aren't contributing anything of value.
