My dad and his best friend have known each other for almost all my life. They’ve gone out for breakfast every Saturday since 1994. The two of them have shown me so much about friendship: “Having a best friend is good for your courage. You can go out and take risks, face rejection and meet new people. Maybe some won’t like you, but the end of the day you can still say, ‘My best friend Alec still loves me.' Having a best friend makes you brave.”
This post reminded me how beautiful a thing friendship is.
