Artist Aurie Ramirez’s watercolor and ink compositions are often influenced by her love of The Addams Family and the rock band Kiss. Fragments of 18th century dandyism, neo-Victorian decorum, psychedelia, Venetian masquerade, Glam Rock sex and Punk fetishism are expressed in her work which has been shown at White Columns and Gavin Brown’s enterprise in New York, the Jack Hanley Gallery in Los Angeles, ABCD in Paris, and Collection l'Art Brut in Lausanne.
