Spirit Tree Hop Cider Release: Friday, May 30th @ 12pm 

From Spirit Tree Cidery: To celebrate 5 years in the Ontario Craft Cider Industry, we are pleased to announce the release of our newest cider, Spirit Tree 5th Anniversary Dry-Hopped Cider.  Crafted from cider produced from our 2013 apple harvest, and organically grown Ontario hops, our Dry-Hopped cider is the first in the line of new small batch craft ciders to be released. Historically, hops were used as a natural preservative in cider.  It imparts a bitterness that elevates the fruit character and increases the body and mouthfeel.  On consultation with Ontario hop growers, we selected a combination of Chinook & Cascade hops to complement our cider.  Dry hopped for 4 days & lightly filtered – this cider will surprise beer & cider enthusiasts alike.

Come try Spirit Tree’s 5th anniversary Dry-hopped cider at Bar Volo on May 30th, 2014.  As a prelude to Ontario Craft Cider Week (June 2 to June 7) – this event will highlight our small batch ciders;  dry-hopped cider, draught cider, New England cider, pear cider, plus bottles of applelager, crabapple and 2013 estate reserve.
