This is my attempt of The Church at Auvers, brought on by the “inspired by famous artists” chapter in my drawing lab book. Before watching Doctor Who (“Vincent and the Doctor”) I had never seen this painting!

Page from a new sketchbook/art journal I started, one with lovely brown paper! I have yet to finish a book; I think I have six different books laying around, some with most of the pages blank.
Anyway, I thrifted the little white jug, it’s maybe one of those things to put oil in (I painted it without the stopper). On the left side I painted the design from a piece of fabric I had.
Bird drawing from when I was first trying out watercolor pencils, pattern based off of this one- sunburst.
Um. I don’t know. Hello Van Gogh.
Paradigm. It’s been stuck in my head since hearing it on doctor who. The pattern was supposed to be like this one (by Tai Snaith), but I an octagon fit better than a hexagon around the word.
Finished! Though, the one on the left is pretty inaccurate. I couldn’t get the head size or angle right, and his facial features were giving me so much trouble that I almost labelled it “Portrait of a Man (Without Face)”
Art journal page in progress.
An art journal page (the first one in a while)! I started saving the tags from my family’s tea consumption, at first not knowing what I would do with them. I have a bit of a collecting compulsion. I see something I like or that sparks a hint of an idea, and before long I have a new collection. My friends can attest to it; my whole room is one big collection. Anyway, eventually the idea of a tea tag collage crept into my brain, and here is the result. Also used: a tea colored distress ink pad, a sticker from the Japanese tape packaging, pen, and a deer cut out of a sticky note (which is hot pink, but the scanner messed up the color).
