A North Carolina school shooting left one student shot and Albemarle High School on lockdown. Police officers now have the gunman in custody. The Albemarle High School shooting occurred shortly after students entered the building around 7:30 a.m. Albemarle High School is approximately 40 miles east of Charlotte, North Carolina. It is currently unclear if the school shooter was a student. Officials at the North Carolina school are urging parents to go to the North Albermarle Baptist Church to await news and release of students instead of converging on the Albemarle school campus. The church is located at 401 Park Ridge Road, about one block from the school.
