‘Elvis’ (featuring Elvis Presley) is an American television special that aired on 3 December 1968 on television network NBC, known as the '68 Comeback Special because of subsequent developments in Presley’s career. The informal jam session in front of a small audience is widely regarded as a precursor of so-called “Unplugged” concepts. Notice the hot rod sticker on Presley’s guitar dating from his first recordings at Sun Records, later immortalised as Roadspeedah.
