From Japan, straight into your hearts, we couldn’t be more excited to present “One Of Elekibass’ Years” by Elekibass!! Originally formed in 1998, Elekibass (Youichi Sakamoto and Jumpei “JP” Komeda - and friends) have traveled the world, and formed a close bond with the elephant 6 bands in Athens, GA. They’ve toured the US several times over the last 14 years, with bands like of Montreal, 63 Crayons, Keith John Adams, Casper & The Cookies and more, including several stops at Popfest in Athens. Their music is a perfect blend of 60’s psychedelics and Japanese indie pop, and you won’t be able to get them out of your head, so don’t fight it! “One Of Elekibass’ Years” is a collection of new songs, and features “Garden Party” which was written for the band by Robert Schneider (of the Apples In Stereo). There’s a couple tracks by Like This Parade (the work of Masanori Misawa - “maybe a troubadour, maybe you’ve seen his credits on other Elekibass projects”), and Okane Monster (Sakamoto’s solo project) snuck in there as well.
