You most likely have combination skin! I have the same exact problem my skin can range from dry to combination to pretty oily depending on the weather and my skincare routine.

For combination skin I always recommend targeting your skin care towards dry skin and keeping your makeup more oil controlling/long wearing. So use a richer, deep moisturizer a night, exfoliate your skin once to twice a week, use a gentle face cleanser, etc. This way you’re treating your dry skin and keeping your skin properly hydrated and smooth so you can wear a more long wearing foundation and a primer without looking drying. So you’re basically treating your skin as two different skin types so you can properly treat both instead of trying to balance the two :)

A few tips

• Use a more moisturizing foundation and use a long wearing primer
• Use a long wearing foundation and mix it with some liquid illuminator or moisturizer on the back of your hand, this way you can have your foundation last all day but not be too drying
• Use a translucent powder (helps control oil and sets foundation)
• Use a long wearing setting spray before and after foundation (sets the makeup so it stays put)

As for actual foundation recommendations that are more long wearing but still on the moisturizing/non drying side try foundations like

• Garnier BB Cream for Oily/Combination Skin
• Dior Skin Forever
• Estee Lauder Double Wear BB Cream
• Tarte Amazonian Clay Tinted BB Cream
• Revlon Colorstay for Dry Skin
