Cuba Gooding Jr.’s Wife Files for Divorce After 20 Years! Actor Cuba Gooding Jr.’s wife Sara Kapfer filed for legal separation on Tuesday after 20 years of marriage. Kapfer filed for divorce in LA County Superior Court on Tuesday citing “irreconcilable differences” according to the divorce papers obtained by TMZ. The high school sweethearts have been married since 1994 and have 3 children together. According to the documents, Kapfner wants joint legal custody of kids and will work out child support sometime later on in proceedings.
Just last year, the The Butler star gushed about being married to Sara on The View, but he admitted he was struggling to find time to be with his family while performing in The Trip to Bountiful on Broadway. He said: ‘When you do films, you’re away from the family, but I can still fly them in or fly home to see them, so… my wife and I… have this rule – never go more than three or four weeks without seeing each other.
