A Welcome Reception…

The journey to the westside was pretty painless with the two kids. They slept the last two hours and were occupied with their backpack activities and the Cartoon Network the other three.   We arrived an hour early and celebrated Father’s Day with grandpa and lots of Korean BBQ.  What I love about “just our family” is that it was always a party of 6 at minimum.  Now that there are little ones to include, it’s always a party of 10 at minimum.  Any celebration is a proper celebration.

My little sister got us a classic guava cake from King’s Hawaiian to start the 6-week party.  Guava chiffon topped with whipped cream and guava glaze - how sweet is that?
