Tuesday Night Check In

It’s been a while since I’ve actually posted from Tumblr. As a matter of fact, it’s been a while since I checked Tumblr. And I have to apologize to those of you who left questions or comments on my recipes and photos!

cjmindc - The Southwestern Beef & Sweet PotatoShepherds Pie from the WW I Love Leftovers cookbook was delicious! I am totally in love with that book, I haven’t made anything the family didn’t like yet! …and the Shrimp Scampi was delicious as well and super quick and easy.

nourritureetfleurs - the Philly Cheesesteak recipe came from a Weight Watchers cookbook called Best Darn Food Ever! It’s a great cookbook - haven’t made anything from it I didn’t like. Lots of comfort food recipes!

So for anyone going to Weight Watchers, you know this weeks topic was taking 10 minutes out of your day to exercise. While I get in a regular workout 3-4 times a week, the thought occurred to me how many more calories I would burn if while watching TV I did some small exercises! So I’ve been using 3lb weights while I sit and watch my favorite tv shows. After two nights my arms were killing me. That’s how I know it’s working. Plus it’s nice to fit in the 10 minutes on the busy nights because I don’t go to bed feeling like I didn’t do anything. So if you haven’t tried it, I really suggest being active for 10 minutes a night while you watch New Girl (because everyone is watching New Girl right?). It’s an easy way to earn an activity point or two!
