How Wolves Change Rivers →

This is one of the best videos I’ve ever seen on Youtube, which is a less than five minute review on how the re-introduction of wolves into Yellowstone National Park changed the ecosystem. I also learned an ecological phrase from this video: trophic cascade, which is when a change introduced at the top of the food web trickles down and affects the ecology of every tropic level. Wolves, as apex predators of a terrestrial food web, have triggered a trophic cascade in Yellowstone National Park.
