It’s kind of funny, I see posts and shared links from people I know IRL, here and on FB, about the Trans Day of Visibility yesterday, of how trans people deserve love, support and all that jazz.
And yet only two people messaged me at all yesterday. And one of them messaging for me to pick them up from a bus terminal, not even about any sort of check in or care or all that talk about “love” and “acceptance”.
Happy Trans Day of Visibility indeed. Where everyone links and reblogs happy messages of trans support and just sort of ignores actual trans people in their lives.
At least that certainly seems to be my experience.
