i absolutely adore that chimney covered for buck at the basketball game. when eddie asks how he talked buck into coming, chim could've told them the truth, that buck made him come, that he was buck's basketball beard. but chimney knew how left out buck had been feeling, how he felt abandoned and tossed aside by eddie, and so he just mysteriously says "i have my ways." because chimney is an amazing friend. he loves buck & needs him to know that he's got his back & he's gonna support him, even if buck is a little silly sometimes

currently thinking about how tommy saying “probably not in the same day” was when i actually genuinely thought they were going to kiss cause that is so fucking smooth. like buck’s already offered to buy him a beer and tommy’s offered to give him flying lessons and now when tommy says he can teach him muay thai buck almost gives him an out by saying kind of jokingly “would that be right after the flying lessons?” and tommy just doubles down like no i’m not joking or just doing this as a favor i want to spend time with you and bring you to my workplace and my home and teach you about the things i enjoy and share these parts of myself with you i don’t just want to spend a day with you. and he says this all while looking directly at buck’s lips. absolutely god tier tommy kinard the man that you are.

what was tommy's journey like. from the last time we saw him to now, what made him realize yeah he likes guys. Was it as little as "you must be a team jacob kind of guy" like i want to know what got him standing in that kitchen, tilting buck by the chin in kissing him.
I'm in the school of thought where Tommy WAS aware that he was gay/bi back then. He had such a shitty captain who just targeted anyone who stuck out to him, specifically an Asian man and a black lesbian woman. I'm sure he didn't just wake up on Chim's first day like let me hate someone today, so you can see that's the environment he really developed at the 118. No way in hell Tommy was gonna be out in that space.
I think his moral failings (aka his inability to stand up for Chim and Hen) were absolutely related to that too. If you stand up for the lesbian coworker too vocally, you're now getting looked at and made fun of and bullied too. It's yellow-bellied but so honest.
So I think he knew he liked men already but the growth was actually that he's out and comfortable in his own skin and has grown tf up into a better man on top of that.
^ this makes perfect sense when you go back and watch the convo before the kiss. tommy tells buck that he’s jealous of how the 118 is nowadays you can tell he’s like. looking back on his time in that firehouse with regret and shame for hiding himself and not standing up for chimney or hen.
he was still there when bobby was captain but for how long? did he leave soon after? before the change really set in and he realized he would be safe to be himself? i’m sure even the stories chimney’s likely told him over the years are probably met with a, “oh wow cool” that’s tinged with. such a bittersweet feeling.
because you know he’s glad that the 118 is where it’s at right now, but he also looks back and wishes he could’ve had that too.

Graphic design artist Moataz Abu Sakran has provided extensive documentation of the genocide against Gaza. His photos and videos have been used—often without credit—by major media outlets, and his posts are featured on this blog regularly.
Moataz and his wife and baby girl are trapped in the vicinity of Al-Shifa Hospital complex. The area has been under complete siege for 10 days, and life is extremely difficult and dangerous. In addition to the physical violence of the ongoing siege, the occupation’s famine has made food extremely scarce—Moataz can no longer find milk and nutritious food for baby Maria.
For weeks he has been trying to put together funds to evacuate his family, but donations have stalled, and there is still quite a way to go before they have enough to evacuate.
There was an increase in donations after we initially shared the link on this blog. We are hoping that will happen again. Please support Moataz’s family via this link so that they can reach safety. Even just a few dollars will help. If you can’t donate, please share the link on all your social media accounts.

Chilchuck would be one of the murderers that thinks he can get away with it and loses his temper more and more as the episode goes on and the “there’s just one thing that’s bothering me”s build up.

Roommate went out of town once, asked me to look after her cat.
Night one she comes down meowing at me. I go check her food/water, they're full. Litter box empty. Make sure my roommate's door is still open and she's not locked out of her room or something. I try to pet her and she dodges me, offer her treats and she won't have it, try playing with her but she won't play, try just ignoring her and she won't stop following me around meowing at me.
So I call my roommate, concerned maybe she was sick or in pain and that's why she was being so insistent despite having all her needs met.
Roommate goes: "OH! She wants you to go to bed. Go upstairs to my room and just sit in my bed with her for a few minutes. She should curl up and get comfortable. Once shes laid down she usually lets me go back to what I'm doing she just can't seem to go to bed on her own"
Sure enough, I go sit on roommates bed and she just happily jumps up, curls up on the blanket, and purrs herself to sleep.
I like when cats try to give their humans healthy habits.
Don Pierrot of Navarre always sat up at night until I came home, waiting for me on the inside of the door, and as soon as I stepped into the antechamber he would come rubbing himself against my legs, arching his back and purring in gladsome, friendly fashion. Then he would start to walk in front of me, preceding me like a page, and I am sure that if I had asked him to do so, he would have carried my candle. In this way he would escort me to my bedroom, wait until I had undressed, jump up on the bed, put his paws round my neck, rub his nose against mine, lick me with his tiny red tongue, rough as a file, and utter little inarticulate cries by way of expressing unmistakably the pleasure he felt at seeing me again. When he had sufficiently caressed me and it was time to sleep he used to perch upon the backboard of his bed and slept there like a bird roosting on a branch. As soon as I woke in the morning, he would come and stretch out beside me until I rose. Midnight was the latest time allowed for my return home. On this point Pierrot was as inflexible as a janitor... Twice or thrice Pierrot sat up for me until two o’clock in the morning, but presently he took offence at my conduct and went to bed without waiting for me. I was touched by this mute protest against my innocently disorderly way of life, and thereafter I regularly returned home at midnight. Pierrot, however, proved hard to win back; he wanted to make sure that my repentance was no mere passing matter, but once he was convinced that I had really reformed, he deigned to restore me to his good graces and again took up his nightly post in the antechamber.
Cats : trying to make us go to bed at a Reasonable Time since forever (so they can wake us up at 3 am for treats)
