Today was just like any other day Niall had spent inside of his LA home since the start of the hiatus, and part of him was bothered by that. Since it had started, he had fallen into a routine that he wasn’t able to kick. It included going to sleep at two or three in the morning, waking up at around ten or eleven, checking some emails, getting a shower, eating, and watching Netflix all day. He needed some fun in his life. It was clear to him that he was bored but he knew for his own mental state and stability, it was best that he was here and not in Ireland with his family. As much as he wanted to be, his mom had made a point of keeping him in LA where he wouldn’t have to worry about her or anything else, and just live and enjoy life. He’d spent a good amount of time with his good friends, just casual hang outs over some food and going out to see a film every so often. He knew that once he made plans with Louis, however, things were bound to get interesting. They always were with him, it was part of the reason Niall really enjoyed having him around.
Despite the fact that he’d been extremely lazy, his house still managed to be absolutely cluttered with random things all over the place. There were pillows on the table, blankets on the floor, and even some shirts scattered around. With a sigh, Niall cleaned up his place and about an hour later, it was spotless. Everyone knew he was pretty much the band pig anyway, but he also hoped that everyone knew he’d clean up nicely if needed. Just as he finished spamming Louis’ phone with a few non-threatening texts about how he was taking so long, he changed into a light blue button up shirt, and a new pair of black skinny jeans. He wasn’t entirely sure if they were just hanging out inside the house or going out, but he figured this outfit would be appropriate for whatever it was they did. Just as he heard the knock on the door, he took the stairs down and grinned widely upon seeing his best friend walk through the door. “It’s about fucking time,” he teased as he brought Louis in for a tight hug and gave his back a pat in the process. “It’s so good to see you. I feel like it’s been years.” He spoke as he brought his friend further into his house and walked into the kitchen. “Do you want anything? Beer? Wine? Food? I have it all.”
